Every Thuesday, Hotel REC proposes a route through one of the most eclectic neighborhoods of Barcelona, the Born.

On this enjoyable stroll through the Born neighborhood, we’ll visit interesting sights like the Born Cultural Center, which houses remains from the city as it was in 1714, including a house split down the middle, Barcelona’s smallest street… and its narrowest one, too!
Afterwards, we’ll discover the first street in Barcelona to feature shop windows, which will take us towards the magnificent Santa Maria del Mar Basilica, the finest example of Gothic architecture in the city, and learn all about the basilica’s legends.
During the tour, we’ll also make various “technical” stops, visiting the Galería Maxó, a local art gallery where we’ll find totally unique and accessible works, as well as Quillo Bar, one of the neighborhood’s liveliest tapas bars, often featuring live music. And to wrap things up, we’ll head to Creps al Born, declared Spain’s best cocktail bar in 2015.
